Tutoring Terms and Conditions

1. Enrolment and Lesson Packages

To ensure consistency in the learner’s progress, lessons are sold in structured packages.

• Lessons must be purchased in advance in bundles of 4, 8, or 12 sessions.
• Full payment of the selected package is required before any lessons can be scheduled or commence.
• Lessons will run within the timeframe of the Government School Calendar; additional workshops may be held during the Government School holidays to accommodate catch-up lessons and students at private schools as per the aforementioned calendar.

2. Attendance and Cancellation Policy

Your time slot is reserved exclusively for you. Therefore, the following policy applies to all cancellations or postponements:

• 24-Hour Notice: Any changes to a scheduled lesson (postponements or cancellations) must be communicated at least 24 hours prior to the lesson start time.
• Late Cancellations: Lessons cancelled or postponed with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
• No-Shows: If a learner fails to attend a session without prior notice, no catch-up lesson will be provided, and the session fee will be forfeited.

3. Technical Requirements

To facilitate a smooth online learning environment, the following is required:

• Software: All learners must have the Microsoft Teams App installed and functional on their device.
• Connectivity: It is the responsibility of the learner/parent to ensure a stable internet connection and working audio/video hardware.

4. Lesson Logistics and Links

• Access: A unique link to the Teams session will be sent via email or your preferred communication channel at least 24 hours before each scheduled session.
• Punctuality: Lessons will begin and end at the scheduled times. Time lost due to late arrival by the learner will not be extended.

5. Scheduling and Changes

• While we strive to maintain a consistent schedule, logistical constraints may occasionally require a time change.
• Any such changes initiated by the tutor will be communicated timeously, and an alternative slot will be provided at no extra cost.
